.: Burn

Sometimes you use a bit much of fire… but things taste good anyway.

So do Whitesnake in their rendition of a famous song by Deep Purple. But I think it’s a very good cover.

And if you want to listen to another great voice (Bruce Dickinson) on this song, clic here. So you’ll probably like this mix, even if you happen to burn the onion a little more… Take: chicken, onion and cheese

First: start to brown the chicken, then add the onion and in the very end, add the cheese.

.: Happy b-day Youtube

The day April 23, 2005, the first video was posted on Youtube.

Actually… you wouldn’t think YouTube is only 13 years old. Drinking my cappuccino, I think… time flies !

But I feel I’m growing older
And the songs that I have sung
Echo in the distance
Like the sound
Of a windmill goin’ ‘round
I guess I’ll always be
A soldier of fortune

Actually Marty and Doc are right being shocked about “future”… hey! we do not have flying cars yet !!

ok well… maybe some things’d better not change, like coffee or cappuccino 😀

.: Don’t be lazy

Alzarsi, in primavera, è sempre un po’ difficile. Spring makes me lazy and I always need some motivation… but today I have my handmade biscuits 🙂

and some great music can help too.

Joe Bonamassa & Jimmy Barnes cover “Lazy” by Deep Purple

Love them

and what about this cup that I bought in some beautiful place in Tuscany ?

Handmade too! Maybe you may want to visit and buy one for yourself. Everybody know Pisa, Lucca, Firenze, Siena, but other smaller places are full of beauty around Tuscany. San Gimignano (approx 60 km from Florence) is an extraordinary place

or you may want to visit the Castle of Sammezzano, in Reggello (approx 40 km from Florence)

and then go to the sea in the area of Livorno or Grosseto

do you still feel lazy ? you shouldn’t by now! 😀

.: April

This time it’s not a recipe. I am busy with some work, but I want to show something typical from the south of Italy: marzipan sweet. They use almond paste to build every kind of (edible) things. One of the favourite shapes is fruit. They’re so nice you wouldn’t want to eat them… but they’re sooo good.

Extraordinary pastry and extraordinary music… this song from 1969 by the original Deep Purple sound of those years

.: Three Kings

Ok, Am I going too far? Three pans, three recipes… do anyone really want to do this ? Well… if you know all this only takes 10 minutes, probably yes. And I don’t even have a diswasher!

This is what we call “a tris” and in this case it’s a tris of gnocchi. Italian ? Yes. White, red and green. Very italian… LOL. The problem is not that it takes long, but that you have to be quick.

So, I couldn’t take pictures while cooking, ‘cause I had to cook quickly. You have to get the pans ready: one with oil and tomato sauce, another with a little bit of oil (you will warm it and put a few pieces of cheese to melt a little) and the third with some pesto.

As soon as the gnocchi go floating in the boiling water (and it just takes a minute or two), you will take them out: some you put in the tomato pan, the second ones in the cheese pan, and the third part in the pesto pan. Add the rest of the cheese, to the cheese pan: it’s going to melt while you mix the gnocchi in the tomato pan. Be careful with the pesto pan, because it could burn easily. Ok, now mix gnocchi with their “sauce” in each pan, and it’s done.

It’s very good, because you can mix the white ones with each of the other two.

And now you can eat it with another “magic trio”: three kings of 70s music. Enjoy
